Shwe Dagon Pagoda World famous 2500 years old pagoda which covered hundreds of thousands of gold plate. Eight hair strands of Gautama Buddha’s and other holy relics were enshrined. Kabar Aye Pagoda The name of the Pagoda means “World Peace”, built for the memorial of the Sixth World Buddhist Synod held in1954. Mahar Pa Sa Na Cave, Gems museum, Buddhist art museum are near by the large compound of Kabar Aye. Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda The image of the pagoda was carved from the one piece of marble rock. Bagan, the Ancient City The ancient city, Bagan was the capital of Myanmar’s first dynasty built by King Anawrahta in 1044AD. Today 2217 old monuments and temples are still standing out of 4446 in the past. All monuments spread within 42sq Km of a semi-desert like plane on the eastern bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Riding horse-cart through the crop fields and some hundreds-year old temples can take one’s soul to the timeless world.
